As a PhD student in the lab of Prof. dr. Roger Adan in UMC Utrecht, I work on food-related decision-making in rodents. I am especially interested in the learning processes that underlie reward-seeking and motivation, and what goes wrong with these processes in neuropsychiatric disorders. Before my PhD, I obtained a bachelor in Medicine and a master in Neurosciences at VU University in Amsterdam. As part of the URGE consortium, I perform computational analyses of datasets of human patients performing decision-making tasks, to study how subcomponents of choice behavior are altered in Anorexia Nervosa patients. https://nl.linkedin.com/in/jeroenverharen
